Founded in 1934, La Alcoholera de La Rioja, Ebro y Duero has been dedicated over the years to the manufacture of alcohols, tartrates, oil seeds and biomass from the by-products of the wine industry.
In December 2021, the Italian Randi Group, with presence in leading wine-producing countries such as Australia, California and Italy, acquired the Riojan company in which it had already had a stake since the 1990s.
A NEW ERA FOR LA ALCOHOLERA
2022 marks the start of a new phase for La Alcoholera. Fernando Durban and Rosa Durban took the helm of the Riojan company in January of this year.
With the support of the Group, they are planning a short and medium-term plan that includes investment, innovation and sustainability, with the aim of positioning the company as a benchmark in the sector and giving added value to the grape, producing TOTALLY NATURAL products extracted from the by-products of the wine industry, which once transformed are destined for the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and wine industries, in a circular, sustainable and zero waste business model.
